The first priority here of course, is to establish as precisely as possible whether and when an investment of this kind will pay off. This involves not only the initial outlay, but those running overheads that are influenced to a great extent by an EFFICIENT CARE OF THE PLANT.
But what does an EFFICIENT CARE OF THE PLANT actually mean?
EFFICIENT CARE OF THE PLANT must permanently fulfil the following requirements:
• The maintaining of the plant in a very good technical condition
• Assuring highest availability and thus cutting back on standstill costs and
maximising use
• Maximising the service life of the plant
These are the reasons why we see our job as not only the delivery of the plant, but also to offer you a professional service in the full context of plant care.
As you will know, we offer inspections and maintenance not only for our own plant, but also for equipment from other producers. We compile an individual service concept for each line together with the customer for regularly achieving a complete assessment of its operational condition and to introduce avoidance measures as the need arises.
The vital issue here is to have measures to recognise any emergent faults before they can get the upper hand and to deal with them effectively. As everyone knows, it is not an easy matter to assess the overall condition of complex plant simply by looking and listening.
This is why we have now introduced
INFRARED TECHNOLOGY
to provide a much simpler and thoroughly reliable picture of the status of each separate unit based on the sophisticated use of heat images. These can be used effectively for both mechanical and electrical components. This technology can both radically cut the time needed for PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE and reliably cut out the cost explosion caused by a serious damage situation.
