3-part vertical shift points

3-part vertical shift points

The task of the 3-part vertical shift points is to divide a single conveyor stream into two conveyor streams one above the other or to reverse this action by bringing two conveyor stream flows together into a single track flow.

The conveyor upper surface of the separate conveyor streams is here approximately in the centre of the two vertically parallel tracks, although this position may be changed within potentially possible limits.

The 2 belt conveyors are each pivoted in opposite directions thus providing a link to one of the two vertically parallel sections to achieve the flow division required.

The pivot process is achieved using a servomotor linked to a crank mechanism.

The use of this servomotor permits highly precise positioning and extremely short change-over times. All the belt conveyors are separately driven by means of a 3-phase drive motor.
