Swivel arm

The task of the swivel arm is to divide one single conveyor stream into two conveyor streams. This can be either at a transfer angle of under 90° or also under 45°, although the under 45° option with a follow-on belt conveyor merge should be given preference here, since in this case the conveyor stream flow can be deviated more gently.

The separation is achieved of a vertically standing belt conveyor that pivots through a vertical axis before the baggage item arrives at the transfer point with the result that the item changes its direction and is transferred.
