Swivel diverters change the direction of containers moving one after the other on the conveyor belt. Before the containers reach their assigned point of diversion, the diverter switches their direction, causing a predefined number of containers to now move to a different belt. As soon as the containers are moving in a different direction, the diverter switches back to its initial position where it remains until again activated. Diversion may be set at 90° or 45°.  If the angle is set a 45°, an angle belt-conveyor should be integrated into the flow at that location in order to create an ever smoother diversion.
