Chain conveyors are used to horizontally load and move objects to be transported (such as pallets, grid boxes, trays, containers, work-piece carriers, cases, etc.). Chain conveyors are low-weight and consist of two parallel running chain strands (½“ duplex chains). Heavier chain conveyors require three duplex chain strands. Additional chain strands can be added upon request.

Chain conveyors are used in conveyor systems when loading units can’t be moved on roller systems. This tends to be the case when loading supports such as euro-pallets or Düsseldorf pallets need to be moved in form of mixed transport in transverse direction or when pallets need to be moved in transverse directions on roller conveyor systems. Because of the small supporting surface and the clearance on the bottom of the pallets (needed for loading), goods cannot flow safely and reliably on a roller conveyor. Chain conveyors are also used when the loading device is not suitable for being moved on rollers.

All pull-in points are safeguarded according to the European Machinery Directive as well as all other applicable European norms and standards.
